47 S 17th St San Jose, CA

I have lived at 47 S 17th Street, San Jose, since 2006; it’s been some time, and I never felt like leaving it. I remember the day I first saw the house, and today, when I am about to sell the site, I still have the same feeling of my sweet home.

I remember investigating several houses with my real estate agent, and the moment I entered 47 S, I immediately loved the high ceiling and the windows. When I entered the backyard, I said, “Wow!”. The landscape, the little sand island, green grasses, and the fountain. I didn’t feel like changing it till now.

The sun lights felt so good, especially on the winter morning. Even a portion of my Closet got the sunlight. The single thing about this house always amazed me. Before buying 47 S, I stayed in an apartment next to one of the streets in downtown San Jose. I had a really hard time sleeping due to the street noise. So, when buying a house in the downtown area, I could easily determine why I wanted 47 S due to its unique location. I was away from all the street noise for my level of tolerance.

They stroll with the kids next to the creek around the corner of 17th and 16th Street and San Fernando Street in the evening or afternoon. I enjoyed all bits and pieces of it. During Covid time, when we were all locked in the house, my wife and my kids all felt what the backyard meant to us as I heard about a new Google campus close to my area and with two other nearby Universities, San Jose State University and Santa Clara University.

I always felt the commercial safety of the house. Now, as I have decided to move to a new place with my family and kids for my future needs, I am taking all the good memories, days, and nights, especially my wife’s favorite moon sighting from the bedroom window with the soothing sound of the fountain in the background. Like all the good things in life, everything has an end at some point, but it doesn’t matter how much I hate it. e to say goodbye to 47 S, my sweet little home, and lovely neighbors.
